Crazy As A June Bug On A String Mug

Some childhood memories never leave you, and for country kids, June bugs were part of the fun. This country life mug carries a bit of that nostalgia, bringing back summer days when June bugs crawled across our fingers or buzzed through the air. Every now and then, my grandmother would gently tie a piece of sewing thread to one so it could fly around while we laughed and chased after it. They were never harmed, and when the fun was over, we always let them go.

Those memories make old sayings like “crazier than a June bug on a string” and “wilder than a June bug on a string” mean a little more. They bring back that wild, simple kind of joy that was just part of growing up in the country.

The Crazy as a June Bug on a String Mug is equal parts country humor and nostalgia. It’s perfect for morning coffee on the porch, swapping stories with family, or gifting to someone who remembers when kids could find an entire afternoon’s worth of entertainment right outside the back door.

A Thorn Ridge original inspired by real childhood memories, this nostalgic country mug is for anyone who knows that sometimes being wilder than a June bug on a string is the best way to be.
